Mother Teresa Wall Tile

Description

This porcelain hanging wall tile measures 3″ (7.5cm) and is one of a kind and features a quote from Mother Teresa – “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”

It was glazed in a clear glaze and fired a 3rd time with a ceramic decal fused to the surface.

All tiles are made of a high density, vitreous porcelain clay. I concentrate on utilizing glazes that have an inherent variability and a rich tactile surface, not unlike those used in Arts & Crafts ceramics and unattainable in mass-produced commercial tiles.
